Dear Preschool Parents,

You are invited! Preschool Programs will be having an amazing Parent Curriculum Workshop Series called Abriendo Puertas (Opening Doors) here at our main office (2109 Burkett Rd. El Monte, CA 91732). 

Our Family Service Worker (FSW) team will be hosting this series that is meant for you - Parents of children ages 0-5 years old! The Abriendo Puertas Curriculum is grounded in research, reflects parent input, and uses the “popular education” approach to engage parents through culturally relevant activities. It was created by Parents, for Parents.

The bilingual (English/Spanish) Abriendo Puertas series:

• Begins next Thursday, January 30th, 2025
• Will run every Wednesday thereafter
• Will last from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
• Will have babysitting, snacks, and raffle prizes!
• Ends March 5th, 2025 (Parent Graduation!)

Topics that will be covered include: Promoting school readiness, family well-being, and advocacy by addressing best practices in brain development, key aspects of early childhood development (cognitive, language, physical, and social/emotional), early literacy, bilingualism, early math, positive use of technology, attendance, civic engagement, parent leadership, goal setting, and planning for family success.
